Students and academics of the Department of Nursing and Midwifery, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences assisted in conducting the COVID-19 vaccination program arranged for the community of University of Sri Jayewardenepura. The vaccination initially covered the students of faculties Allied and Medical Sciences. This project was organized by the Faculty of Medical Sciences and was conducted at the faculty premises.
The vaccination program was also extended to the academic and non-academic staff of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura where the vaccination was done by the B.Sc. Nursing students in collaboration with medical care members of the Sri Lanka Army.
