Role of a personal tutor – Continuing efforts to provide quality education

The Staff Development Committee, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, USJ conducted the 8^th workshop for the year 2021 on “Roles and responsibilities of a personal tutor”.  It was held on 28^th of September 2021 from 3.30 p.m. to 5.00 p.m. The resource person was Prof. Sampath Gunawardena, Professor of Physiology from the Department of Physiology Faculty of Medicine, University of Ruhuna. He shared his valuable experiences as a student counsellor with the academics of the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences and explained how to mentor students by providing guidance, motivation, emotional support, and on being a role model to students.
