The commencement lecture for the 2019/20 intake of Allied Health Sciences students of University of Sri Jayewardenepura was held on 12th of July 2021 at Senate Board Room of University of Sri Jayewardenepura. It was conducted by Prof. Saroj Jayasinghe, who is an Emeritus Professor of Medicine, University of Colombo and a Consultant to the Department of Medicine, Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka.
The 2019/20 intake of students was the first batch of students enrolled directly by the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences of University of Sri Jayewardenepura.
